That sure is a great post about poverty! It really opens your eyes up when you read all that because you hear all about it and you know it's happening and feel sad but the next day you are walking down the street and it all slips from your mind! I really wouldnt like to be put in their shoes! (Though some dont even have shoes.) For that comment you left, yes I did go to France and I also went to England, Scotland, Wales, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Monnaco, Spain and also the Vatican City which is in the middle of Italy's capital city, Rome, but it is still technically another country! France is not all that cold, I mean it is pretty cold in winter but in summer it can be around 30 degrees! Though in Australia it can get up to 40! The reason I went to all these countries is because this year at the start of January I left from the Tullamarine Airport, (Melbourne) and I flew to Malaysia for a stop off and then we flew all the way to London! We travelled around Europe for 8 months and I only got back this August! On my blog, if you click back on the months before now you can see some posts about the places I've been to! You might have also seen on my friend Freyas blog that she is off on a 6 month trip around Asia at the moment! So I havent seen her since the last summer holidays! Your school day is a bit different to mine!!! Not much though! But I also go to a public school and we wear uniforms but they are pretty basic! Just a red polo shirt with our logo and black shorts or pants and a red hat in some of the terms. Our school day starts at 9:00am and finishes at 3:20pm but we have recess from 11:00 until 11:30 and we also have lunch from 1:30 until 2:20. Our years go from prep (4, 5 or 6 years old) until grade 6 (11, 12, 13 year olds) and then we go on to highschool. We do all the usual stuff you do like sport, english, maths, computers, art etc. But we dont have a Wii at our school!!! But we have T.Vs in lots of the classrooms so we watch movies and stuff. And we also watch things on the interactive whiteboards. Also, we dont have all those areas! We just have the classrooms, portable classrooms, 3 playgrounds, a big footy oval, basketball and netball courts , quadrangle, canteen, toilets, a large grass field, multi-purpose room, office and a big concrete area where people play downball etc. Our school has around 500 kids so I dont know how big it is compared to your school!
