Why are these Picture Important to ME?
Look carefully. What can you see? That’s right, a young girl, black hair, a book between her hands, a whole library behind her. Why have I chosen this picture to represent me?
Here’s my answer: I just love reading, and I’m sure without books, I would be extremely bored! The library behind the girl represents to me how much I can read because of my love for reading, and the book represents pages of my life that I have spent reading, and reading and reading. If you look closely, the girl’s other half of her face cannot be seen, but is covered by a book, which to me represents how reading has become a part of me…
Some books should be tasted,some devoured,but only a few should be chewed and digested thoroughly…

This second picture symbolises my love of Belly Dancing, a Middle Eastern Dance, since I am half Arabic as well! I love to dance around at home, to the Arabic beats of songs. The costume this lady is wearing is also what I wear when I’m dancing, but not exactly that costume. The cloth that is spinning behind her shows the speed the dance goes, a whirl here, a whirl there, it doesn’t work without speed!
Dancing is something I love to do in spare time, anywhere at all, but sometimes in public it gets scary… though I’ve only danced once in public, and once at school, also at weddings…it makes me feel proud, special and happy. Dancing is something that makes me feel secure and ever so jovial!
Last but not least, this picture of a girl surrounded by writing shows to me how much I can write, pages and pages, and how much writing means to me, many envy me for this talent, and some congratulate me on my efforts. The pen in the mouth shows how I gather words, how I devour them one by one, and learn from them, how I write and write, my brain works faster than my hands can go… the writing all over represents my love of writing stories, and just being able to write anything at all, from scary stories, to sad stories is wonderful.
I also hope to be a writer some day, to be able to share my stories with the world, just like I am sharing this picture with you and how and why it is significant to me. I am determined to improve amazingly in the future, and fill the gaps in my life I have yet to discover…

A Good Quick Mate & a Job to be Done!
25th of June, these special people have a look around our school. They are from Abu Dhabi, a special country in Asia, the middle east. I was o excited because I speak arabic and so do they, so them we could have something in common and also speak to eachother in this hidden language of ours!! Me, Nadine, and Sokeina, also from the Allstars, were hired to do a job. This is job was to walk along with them, translate if needed, explain if needed, and talk to them in Arabic about where they were, what the class was working on. Completing this job with us, Natalie, Ramiz and Momtahina, all from my class. It was a relief to have some friends, Sokeina and Momtahina to walk around with.
For 2 hours straight, we led them,l did our job, had a superb time and made some super nice friends. Me, I was instantly made a mate by a man called Ali, who had a heart of gold. it was a fun day!! Really!? And also, as a reward we received golden badges and touching thank you’s along with a special dessert with the teacher in the staff room! What a day, and an honour! How proud I had felt, so very proud. Part of the dessert was Scones, and cake. Yum!!!! :)
It was really heart breaking to say good bye for me!!!

S2/3P Starts their Running!
I just want to say I have got this post off by my class, S2/3P!

“Get set”
“GO!”
We’ve started training for our cross country carnival that will be held in May.
We huff and puff through two tiring laps of the oval, and we time ourselves so that we can get faster and faster!
Sandy is showing the most improvement so far - she has wiped two minutes off her times already! AMAZING!
Who knew that an otter could run that far, and that fast????? :0 She has set the world record for Otters!!
Well done everone else - keep trying and improving your times ;)
I have alos wiped off 20 seconds off my time. But the scene of how the class runs is something else. They are like crashing waves swirling rapidly across the grass. They are like traffic fighting eagerly to get past the red light. They are like a crazy herd of animals racing nervously from predators that will rip their flesh to smithereens.
And most of all, they zoom ahead, as if a rushing tap, powerfully crashing down the sink. I can’t describe how fast and how wonderfully they rush by. It’s a job for an author!
New Riddle A Bit Too Early!!!
A farmer and his hired help were carrying grain to the barn. The farmer carried one sack of grain and the hired help carried two sacks. Who carried the heavier load and why?
This Riddle came too early, but i have made a new rule, i will do another Riddle as soon as the time is up or if someone gets it right. So have a go at this one and goodluck!
Remember, it gets HARDER!!!

Because it is how many letters in THE ALPHABET the word. Get it? So you have to count the letters in it!!

Riddle Junior,the First
Here is a riddle: Every week i’ll have one and then when you give up or someone writes a right answer, they will win and be put in my Riddle Winner post which i’ll put at the end of the year! Here goes, goodluck everyone and be patient:

And that’s the first Riddle joke type of thing. Goodluck!!

The First 2008 Assembly!
Mrs P announced in Morning Assembly that we had to meet her. So we went over to a room and discussed some prefect matters and what we could change in the school. We had so many ideas to choose from and we were going great! I already got my badges of my name and the Student Executive badge!! They are amazing!!! :)
After the meeting, we went for a practice on what to say in assembly. Me and Leith were partnered up. I made a script for us to read about SYTYGT BSwhich is a whole heap of letters meaning: So You Think You Got Talent Belmore South. And so in this show we’ll be having, we’ll have auditions and people will perform their talent on stage. There will be winners of course!
Last night i spent hours on end working on signs.I had to give them a sign on when to raise the letters of the SYTYGT BS. 8 people got the letters and when i gave them the signal, they raised them and called them out. Everyone got excited. Then they flipped them over and the words were revealed! Everyone cheered because they couldn’t wait!!!
It turned out to be a great time! I never expected to have so much good signs from everyone. I really enjoyed it, and for the first time ever, i wasn’t a teeny bit scared at ALL!!!!! :lol:
CSIRO back to School!
C.S.I.R.O came to our school hall today teaching every class a lesson about science. At the end, you get to do experiments!! Fuuuun!!!!
We started off learning what and who they are:
Commonwealth
Scientific
Industrial
Research
Organistation
I did fun experiments including having to fill a tank and turn it upside down. Also to place a tube under it and fill this glass with a teaspoon of scientific things. Weird!!! But cool!
Bubbles turn out to come at the end. And Sokeina, Lilly and I did only two experiments though!
Who Would i Choose…
Who would i choose to replace me in my life?
I would probably like to be either two choices. Either myself or myself with super powers!
I would wish a million times to be a myself but with super powers. I want to be myself because i like being me, being the way i am and how my life is going straight into an educational one! And i would love to be able to leave the world when i want to. Like if there is something sooo boring, i’ll replace it with another me that would do all good work.
I’d love to be invisible and spy on people and be able to save people and also to save the world!!
I would love to go back in time and fix things, also go to the future and discover what and how it will look like! Amazing!!!!
