Just What We Need…
A cheque!!!! All the school prefects, including me, gingerly heard the news before the entire school! Preparing for the assembly, we sat on our chairs in the hall, organized our speeches and waited eagerly and excitedly to reveal the news. As students piled in, the last class arrived and sat in silence.
The assembly went on as usual, didn’t seem any different to the students. But as Mrs Dyer, our Principal stepped up to the front of the stage everyone gasped. She made a small speech about going to the Parliament House, Canberra, Australian Government 2008 National Award for Quality Schooling - Achievement by a Principal award.to receive an…….. AWARD!!! For being the 2nd best teacher in the WHOLE ENTIRE OF AUSTRALIA in technology, teaching and using computers for education. I am SO proud of her and think she deserves this for working so hard all her life. I am proud to have a wonderful principal like her and feel that what she received could make our school respected and special. That is not only what she got. She also won………………………… a slightly mesmerising cheque that contained…… she opened it and inside was…………….
$10 000 for the school!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my lord how happy I was, the smile painted on my face, if it got any larger, would have definitely made me bleed from the edges because of the tension. How shocking!! The whole school clapped and cheered, their grins unable to peel off. This money, would mean HEAPS to our school, because it is not that wealthy, it will help so much indeed. This money could provide us with sports equipment, computers, laptops, special needs, school needs, canteen food and way more. I am SO proud of miss Dyer and thank her a billion for winning this award.
GO MRS DYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is how shocked I was, though this is not me, this is a picture of a shocked girl from Flickr CC .

Missed you heaps
Congrats to you, your school and especially your principal. She is doing a great job of enriching the students. I know very few schools that encourage blogging by their students. This is a sign of progressive thinking on part of your principal.
