Invasion of the Jollybops!!

Jollybops? Who are they? Well they are consisting of 2 people: Jolly Professor and Rusty the Robot who was painted as a robot, all surrounded with silver glitter and metal. They came to our school to teach us some Aboriginal Science, like playing a Didgeridoo, an Australian long stick that you put your mouth over to make music. There were many people who were allowed to volunteer as the Jollybops people let them do experiments.

A journey, this is, of smoke rings exploded noiselessly out of a filled with smoke bin when tapped, comeback frisbees which are 3 sided frisbees that when thrown fly back to you because of air pressure forcing it back, a Didgeridoo with attitude, a silly gun-shaped paper-spraying tube that Rusty sprayed on Jolly Professor covering him entirely making the paper look as if it’d swallowed him, crazy and amazing fire tricks, Lunatic Lid that explodes each time put on, Soothing Song sang by Rusty to audience (Us), high 5’s and pictures. Tempted already? Have a READ!!! But I will talk most of the ones I loved best.

The best One! The trick i most loved was the one where Momtahina and some other guy held a stick tightly, aiming at a balloon filled with a special gas… OOOOOOOOOHHHH, suddenly the balloon explodes and it RELEASES FIRE!!! It looked alot like an explosion!! We all stood firmly and shocked, as we clapped the Professor on. That was definitely the best trick!

When I was volunteered: The trick of the Far Tap of the Can that Blew the Paper Cups off our heads was performed. But thank god, for once, i was allowed to volunteer and proudly come up to the stage to perform the trick. I was told to put a cup on my head and stand still, as the loud sounds from quite far coming from the jolly Professor tapping on the box echoed, the cup fell off! Even a teacher, Miss Jenkins nervously performed the trick!!

Rusty’s Persistent personality: What i loved about Rusty, was he was so funny and silly, he acted really out of the ordinary, but that is what I liked about him. He even sprayed paper out of a gun shaped tube that wrapped itself around Jolly Professor, making the school laugh!! It filled him completely, it even made he look like the paper had gobbled him up!! Through out this Visit Rusty also fell in love with the pretty Miss Krisenthal which he gave a bright flower and carton fake plane  full of love to her. We were all touched to see such care. And for those reasons, count him as my favourite character, for his persistent nagging personality!!
Lucky last, to end the fantastic show, I received 3 high 5’s from Rusty, my truly favourite character so you would know how joyful I was and over the moon i felt; a picture of their astonishing equipment and a photo of them, FOR REAL!

Sorry about so much photos!!

Hi Megan here sorry I havent commenntied for so long. That sounds a really cool way to learn!!! A lot better than reading out of a text book! We are doing a project on China and Tibet some of the internet stuff that we have to read is really confusing with HUGE words in it!! It was cool that you got picked as a volentere because as high and as hard I point my fingers I NEVER get chosen! Please comment on my blog!

Everyone agrees on how wonderful this show was, and you have really captured the fun and games exactly Nadine. You have a knack for getting to the interesting parts of what you are experiencing Nadine - how clever!

I think that you can now take a bit of time “polishing” your work so that everything (tenses, expression, language and ideas) are all ship-shape and orderly. Its up to you Captain Nadine to ensure that all of your words obey you and are ready for action ;)

Your commenters enjoy your work, and I know you love writing for them and yourself - keep it up Capt’n!
