CSIRO Just Keep coming!
As i told you before CSIRO sands for:
Commonwealth
Scientific
Industrial
Research
Organisation
They are a group of scientists that come to our school for Science Experiments!!
This time, we did Natural Disasters. And they said it isn’t a Natural Disaster without killing someone or animals. Never knew that! They showed us this orange rock, and we were struck with shock to see that when the man, Jason, threw the rock to Sokeina, she caught it easily. It was light! But it didn’t look like it! They had painted it to look like it was heay. Smart, eh?
We did lots of experiments including: puzzles, having to fit them together to make the map of the world with no WATER.
Computer weather: we had to see a replay of Cyclone Tracy and how hard it rained. I didn’t understand a bit because it was a mixture of words spinning around!
House: we had to use a blower to blow the house roof and see if it would blow. And it did, because it wasn’t a good type of roof!!
And many other experiments!! It was so fun and exciting, full of learning and Jason, i had to thank him a million for helping us and coming to work with us. I learned alot!!!!
I also learnt the parts of earth: Inner core, outer core, crust, and etc!! Another special thing I learnt was that a rock with many tiny holes means that it has come from a volcanic explosion. So when you see that, tell your mates that!! Discover new thigs. Be a scientist!!! ;)
I have planned to give you this word and you have to guess what it is: Pumice
It is a light ……. continue your answer like this my team scientists! Do you want to be scientists??
What do you think of these photos?
Have any Scientists ever come to your school?

Hi Nadine! Thanks for the comment! I like a lot of movies and shows, but Heroes is my favourite one. We don’t have colors at my school, that would be great!
