Let’s Go Brandman Let’s go!

Last week was the Athletics Carnival and more than three quarters of the school went. We all sat in our team colours to start the races and long jumps.

I was in the team ” Brandman” which is colour blue so I sat under the blue flag under the great big shelter made of wood. We placed our bags onto the floor and madeourselves comfortable.

Later on, the races started and we all cheered for Bradman. After three races from the boys, Mr Mcguiness called upon the 11 year old girls to come onto the oval and do their long jump on the sand.

I was scared, but i lost later on( i didn’t know why) but then Mr Mcguiness told me that I had commiteed a foul. Immediately after the long jump the 11 year old girl raced and i came 1st in the 100 metre! Yay!

Later on, there was the 100 metre finals and i came third for a place in the Zone carnival and went onto the stage to claim my green ribbon.

Then, the relays were on and we had 4 girls for senior, 4 boys for senior, 4 girls for junior and 4 boys for junior. Miss Jenkins shot the gun and off they went holding our blue metal stick! Unfortunately, we came last in every race exept the senior girls which we came third!

The 800 metres were next and alot got tired! Our team did well!

After we went home again and found out that our team came either 2nd or 3rd.

Yipeee!
