Mermidillo

Our teacher had planned for us to do a project about a small world. I chose to do an underwater world which I called Mermidillo. It was about earth which suddenly turned into water. The creatures were mermaids.

My world was different than the rest. I had a game as well to go with it. Fishing! You had to hold the rod and try to get the sea creatures from the magnets on their sides and on the rod. Everyone like mine alot. It looked like a cake from the outside, but on the inside, it was coulourful and glittering, full of things.

We also painted a picture to go with it. I painted a tentacled-haired lady with crab-like hands, and upside down seaweed legs. It was full of glitter as well! I called her Queensby, for a reason i don’t know why! It just jumped into my head like that!

Here are my pictures of my Small World and Queensby;

               Can you guess what’s inside?

Write down what you think the answer is and then you can write it in your comment.

Cricket Strike!

Our class was invited for a game and practice of cricket. A lady called Emma  split us into groups and told us to chose our groups. I chose Sokeina and Momtahina as my groupies. we went to the bowling first. We had to try to hit the long sticks. I only got it once! We had to bowl it by rounding it in our arms and then throwing to hit the stick. It was fun! At least we learnt to strike! Secondly, we went to the fielding and had to throw any way we wanted to. we also needed to get the stick, but in an easier way. Just throw! We didn’t have to do a specific throw. I didn’t get it at all! But Sokeina did! Emma was counting to three and by the time she did that, we had to run to  our groups and see who would be the first one there. The third activity we did was batting. It wasn’t that hard! We had to place the ball on the witches hat and bat the ball. Sokeina and Momtahina stood at the back and had to catch the ball, then throw it back to me and i would repeat the same thing again and again! Coooooool!!! At the end, we all sat down on the grass and Emma asked us a question. I don’t remember what is was though, but Ramiz answered and got it right. He won a bottle from her. But he wasn’t the only one that won something, we all did! Emma gave out a plastic bag and in it were these tthings: A ball, CD, Poster, Milo crums(which were extremely delicious!), stickers and some cards telling you were some cricket games are held. There was also a girls Cricket team! Amazing! This cricket day was such a Cricket strike Day!
